When your flight is delayed by five (5) hours or more, Bokkara compensates you with up to $150 in Bokkara Credits.

Example: Your flight is delayed due to technical issues. Simply report the delay through your Bokkara account, and we’ll issue your Bokkara Credits immediately so you can continue your travel planning stress-free.

Flight Cancellations (Airline-Controlled Reasons)

If your flight is canceled due to reasons within the airline’s control, Bokkara steps in to rebook your ticket on another airline — at no cost to you.

Covered Airline-Controlled Reasons Include:

  • Crew scheduling issues
  • Overbooked flights
  • Technical or mechanical malfunctions
  • Staff strikes or labor disputes

Example: Your flight was canceled because the airline oversold seats. Bokkara immediately rebooks you on the next available flight so you can reach your destination without paying extra.

When a flight is canceled for reasons beyond the airline’s control, Bokkara ensures you aren’t left stranded by covering your hotel stay until your flight is back on track.

Eligibility

Basic Travel Insurance is included with all active Bokkara subscriptions. Coverage applies only to flights booked directly through Bokkara.

Coverage Limits

Maximum combined coverage per incident: $25,000 USD (in Bokkara Credits). Flight delay compensation is capped at $150 in Bokkara Credits per occurrence.

Claims Process

Claims must be submitted within 24 hours of the delay or cancellation. You may need to upload proof such as a boarding pass, airline notifications, or receipts. Credits are issued directly to your Bokkara account once approved.

Exclusions

Missed flights caused by personal error (e.g., late arrival to airport). Flights not booked through Bokkara. Medical expenses and other non-flight-related costs (covered under premium plans coming soon).
